So many people have been integral to supporting Julie through her illness and diagnosis. Some have assisted in finding a diagnosis, some have provided medical care and devices, whilst others have provided assistance to get Julie to Barcelona for surgery.

This list is in no particular order. Please visit the sites of businesses who have supported me. They are listed here due to their exemplary service, kindness, and products.

Zomile tailor makes the highest quality ring splints available.

“I can’t praise these splints highly enough. I no longer suffer from multiple subluxations, dislocations, or pain in my fingers. As soon as possible I will be adding some thumb splints to completely support my hands.” Julie

Zomile is based in the UK. Please contact her to talk about shipping to Australia. The splints are suitable for EDS, other hypermobility conditions, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and more.

Zomile is trained in fashion design and has direct experience in what shapes of splints work as she has one of the rarest forms of EDS - Arthrochalasia EDS

Please follow her on her social media accounts and contact her if you have any issues with pain in your fingers.

See her website here and her Etsy page here

In the UK, Zomile’s splints are subsidised by the NHS, Access to Work, and other charities.

I Only Fly First Class is a Hong Kong based small company providing business and first class air tickets at reduced prices. They acquire frequent flier points to give customers greatly discounted prices.

Marcus Sillas has provided Julie with the chance to fly return to Barcelona in first class at a fraction of the regular price. This will allow her to travel with the necessary support needed for her head, neck, and spine.

Without this service, Julie would be faced with paying full price for first class (approximately AUD)$30,000, taking a medical flight which is, one way to Barcelona, US$290,000, or taking a flight in unsuitable and medically dangerous (for her) seating.

If you use the link in the image above or here to purchase a flight, Marcus will donate $100 to Julie’s future flights. This could assist with paying for her accompanying person and reducing the amount needed to fundraise.
