Some Basic Information About Events

As severe fatigue and other symptoms have prevented Julie from planning and holding traditional fundraising events.

Julie is asking for donations of items, experiences, online gigs, in person gigs (after restrictions end), tickets, meals, a signed item, or anything at all which could be added to an auction, a raffle, or a set price sale.

Do you know, or are you a famous person who could donate some memorabilia or an item of theirs such as a piece of clothing, shoes, anything which could be signed? (A certificate of authenticity download and law is available here)

Are you a musician, artist, writer, entertainer, dancer, or other type of artistic person? Would you like to donate an online zoom gig? Some tickets to an upcoming performance? A piece of your artwork? A signed copy of one of your books? An autographed piece of memorabilia or a photo? All items would be greatly appreciated.

Julie would like people to value add to something which you may otherwise think is valueless. For example, an old pair of shoes or shirt, etc, from a sportsperson. The value added to the item is what will make it valuable to buyers and will hopefully cost you nothing.

The difference you can make in Julie’s life cannot be measured. A life of being bed bound with the constant fear of a life ending episode as compared to an active and productive life as close to normal as possible…except that she won’t be able to ever turn or nod her head again.

Postmark and Vestiaire Collective Sales

Poshmark and Vestiaire Collective are resale sites designed to keep textiles out of landfill and offer high quality clothes, shoes, accessories, electronics, etc, at a price far less than retail. Julie has personally trialled both of these sites and is satisfied that they are safe and reliable.
